South Asia’s inaugural Women’s handball League launched in India to start by January 2025 with six teams and players from all across the globe
Pavna Sports Venture is launching its next big game with an investment of Rs. 100+
crores over the next three years, and exclusive licensing rights for the next ten years in South Asia’s first-ever professional Women’s Handball League (WHL) to be put
into orbit by January 2025, featuring several prominent players from the india, Middle East, South East, Europe and Africa.
Pavna Sports Venture, the official licensee holder, under the auspices of the South
Asian Handball Federation, and supported by the Handball Association of India, is promoting this league consisting of six teams which will play in the inaugural edition,
thereby transforming this rare, forgotten game to churn out future champions from the sport. The deliberate decision to include players from all around the globe will
enhance the league’s outreach and competitiveness, thereby promising to create a spectacle of world-class Handball action for sports fan across the country.

and Secretary General of the South Asian Handball Federation commented on the resounding success and efforts made by Pavna Sports Venture in promoting and
inculcating love for sports in India, “By joining forces with Pavna Sports Venture and the Asian and international bodies, our aim is to elevate the standard of women’s
handball in India and provide our athletes a world-class platform to compete at the highest level. This league marks the beginning of a new era for women’s handball as
well as women’s sports for our country.”
Pavna Sports Venture which has always focused on infrastructure development,
talent identification and creating top-notch facilities for games at grassroots level, after their success with the Golden Eagles, the men’s Handball team in the Premier
Handball League last year, is now putting their best foot forward for this initiative which also aims to integrate foreign exchange programs as a crucial part of its
progress goals, to provide holistic development platform for the players, helping them reach to the audience not just in India, but also globally.
